Born May 25, 1995 called to her heavenly home on January 10, 2020 at the age of 24. A beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, she leaves behind her two sons, Kaden Michael and Khiler Matthew Cooper, who are two of her proudest accomplishments. Rachel loved playing baseball when she was in elementary school, and then as she got older she played fast pitch, she also loved music, writing poems, fishing, taking pictures of her and her boys and lots of selfies, spending time with her siblings and most of all eating crawfish with Kaden and Khiler. Rachel was a loving and devoted mother to her boys…the apples of her eyes. She is survived by her mother, Penny Bourgeois; Father and stepmother, Vince Sr. and Terri Lee Bourgeois; sister, Kristy Bourgeois/fiancé Nick Gaudet; brothers, Vince Jr., and John Bourgeois and Melvin Picolo Jr.; niece Tierney Gaudet; nephew/godchild, Noah Gaudet; Maw Maw Paulette and many aunts, uncles and cousins whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lee Roy and Patricia Elizabeth (Tierney) Remondet, Louis Guidry and Betty Chenevert; Paternal grandparents, Calvin and Linda Bourgeois, nephew/godchild, Devin Cambre; Uncle David J. Lee, Aunt Barbara Gros, and Grandpa Smitty J. Lee. Rachel will be missed, but she will live on amongst us. We will each be able to witness and enjoy the growth of her sons, Kaden and Khiler. By sharing stories and memories of Rachel with her boys and each other we can keep her memory alive for them and for us. And whenever we are missing you, we will remember how fortunate we were that you were in our life and we wouldn’t trade those moments for the world.
