Randy Layne "RanRan" Rogers was Born On December 11, 1959. After a courageous 4 year battle with cancer he entered his eternal home with our Lord on Saturday October 26th at the age of 64. Randy is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Candis K. Rogers and his father John D. Rogers, his children Laura Rogers Dellinger (Ron), John " Brandon" Rogers (Amber), Matthew Roth (Brandi), Nicholas Roth and Kenneth Roth (Sara). He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren who adored him and knew him as RanRan; Makenzie, Broden, MaLeah, MaCade, Isaac, Axel, Stella, Rowan, Noelle, Sophia and Finn and also his two great grandchildren Olivia and Gwyn. He was also known as Big Ran to many others. Randy is also survived by his sisters Susan Rogers Veazey (David) and Donna Rogers Guedry (Gary) and his brothers Dwayne Rogers (Vickie), Jeffrey Rogers (Donna), and Brother in law Mark Bourgeois. He was preceded in death by his mother Lydia Faye Wells Rogers and his sister Cindy Lou Rogers Bourgeois. Randy was a graduate of East Ascension High School class of 1977. He retired from Shell Oil Company after 37 years of loyal service and was also employed by IES. Randy was an avid sports fan and loved his Cincinnati Reds baseball team and traveled to see games with his wife whenever they had the opportunity. He also loved LSU! Randy was also an outdoorsman and loved to fish whenever he could. The Rogers Family would like to thank Dr. Miletello his oncologist, the entire team of providers at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa and The Hospice of Baton Rouge for their wonderful care. Family and friends are invited to attend services on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at New River Baptist Church in St. Amant, La. Family visitation will be from 9-10 and others will be welcomed from 10-1 with services beginning at 1 performed by Bro. Craig Forque. Interment in New River Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Rogers, Jeffery Rogers, Steve Schneck, Steve Atkins, Mike Palomino, Michael Bergeron, Marty Louviere, and T.J. Polezcek.
