Reginald Alvin Sheets

Reginald “Reggie” Sheets, born on April 29, 1954 in Baton Rouge, LA at Our Lady of the Hospital, passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 70. 

Reggie loved to sit outside and listen to music especially swamp pop, cook jambalaya, and watch anything LSU and Saints Football on the big screen TV. His pride and joy were his collection of muscle cars, which he was always detailing and taking drives in to see family and friends. Reggie was a proud fireman in Baton Rouge for many years. Reggie owned and operated Cajun Mat LLC in Gonzales since 2008, and was very proud of the business that he built from the ground up. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Joseph Sheets and Christine Smith Sheets. 

He is survived by his brother, Rodney Sheets (Trudy); sisters, Connie Broussard (Pat Decoteau), Sherri Baker (Sam), and Lana Girouard (Ted); his children, Traci Jacob (Elvis) and Cindy Carroll (Taylor); grandchildren, Seth Jacob, Hannah Jacob, Caleb Robbins, Brady Carroll, and Madison Carroll; the mother of his children, Loretta (Sheets) Byrns; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank Baton Rouge Home Health and Pinnacle Home Health for their services. Special thanks to Pinnacle Hospice and the staff at The Crossing for their generous support and care for our family. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
