Reverend Cynthia Ann Jenkins was carried by the arms of her eternal heavenly home on this 24th day of March 2025.
Cynthia was born in Houston, Texas 70 years ago to Ann Ray Park and Rivas James Prudhome.
She is survived by her spouse of 53 years, Bobby Ray Jenkins, her daughter Julie Annette Jenkins and 5 grandchildren, O’realean Lockheart Pitre, Carolann Sholmire and husband Cody Sholmire, Justin Jenkins, Abegail Jenkins, and Raelynn Jenkins.
Cynthia is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren Braidyn, Kyla, Terilyn, Stella, Joelee, Mya, Joelle, Monse and Ava, Her sister Carolyn Collins and brothers Ray Frost and James Frost and wife Julie, As well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents Ann Ray and James Prudhome, Son Jody Jenkins and twin nephews Matthew and Mitchell Lynch.
Cynthia enjoyed Traveling, Fishing, reading and above all spreading the word of our blessed Lord and Savior.
She was a resident of Prairieville, in addition to being an ordained minister, she worked as a nurse and was a Civil Law Notary and co-owner of Jenkins Notary Service.
Cynthia will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend; and where her spiritual influence touched countless lives. She lives behind a profound legacy of faith, service and love.
A graveside ceremony celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday April 2, 2025, at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 am.
Pallbearers are Justin Jenkins, O’realean Lockheart Pitre, Brennan Lynch, Braidyn Sholmire, Marcus Johnson, and Christopher Smith.
Honorary pallbearers are Michael Murray and Cody Sholmire
A special heartfelt appreciation to the care given to Cynthia by the nurses and staff of Pinnacle Hospice Baton Rouge.
