Minister Daniel Lowery Jr., affectionately called “Dan” departed his earthly life to his heavenly home on May 28, 2024, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Zachary Louisiana. A Native of Plaquemine Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge Louisiana, he was a United States Army Veteran E-6 rank (Staff Sergeant) earning full military rights and privileges to the following awards and medals: National Defense Service medal, good conduct medal, First Award Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, Four OS Bars, Sharpshooter M 16, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal RVN and Cross of Gallantry.
He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories: one son Daniel Lowery, Louisville, Kentucky one daughter Karah (Rhine) Reynolds Baker Louisiana five grandchildren Miles Lowery, Louisville, Kentucky, Jaelyn, Katelyn, Kaiya, and Kamryn Fields and one grand-dog Khloe all of Baker Louisiana. One Bonus Son and Daughter Eric and Mariangie Hill of Baton Rouge Louisiana. One sister and two brothers-in-laws Linda (Michael) Lowery-Davis Plaquemine Louisiana, Charles Delone Baton Rouge Louisiana, and many other relatives, ministers, and close friends who served in the US Armed Forces. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Janice Deloris Lowery, his parents Daniel Lowery Sr. and Mary (Mayola) Foster, one sister Patricia Lowery-Delone and his support dog Mr. Simmons.
Graveside Services with full Military Honors will be held on September 10, 2024, at The Louisiana National Cemetery at 11:00 AM. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Church Funeral Services & Crematory.
