A ceremony celebrating the life of Rev. Ellis Acey Hines will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 at Gonzales Baptist Temple, visitation will be Tuesday 5 pm until 8 pm and will resume Wednesday at 9 am until time of service. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Louisiana National Cemetery
Rev. Hines was born in Reserve, LA on June 27, 2941, and passed from this life on March 26, 2022. He was a resident of Gonzales, retired with the U S Navy having served in the Vietnam Era, he enjoyed fishing and playing Golf.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ellis and Theola Causey Hines, children Dennis, William, and Theresa Hines, siblings, Carl, Betty, and Billie.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-one years Margaret “Peggy” Hines, son Daniel Hines (Anita), grandchildren Dennis Jr., Brittany, Britney, and Christopher, great grandson Dillion, siblings Steve, Connie, and Kathryn, also nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
