Rev. John Green Iii
Rev. John Green III entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 2, 2022, at the age of 78 years. He was a native of Baton Rouge, 1962 graduate of Istrouma High School, attended Lee University in Cleveland TN, and Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, OH. He served as a Sergeant in the U S Army in 1966 – 1968. John served the Lord faithfully the next 36 years as a pastor.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; son, John Green IV and sons Johnny V, Joshua, Jordan, and Joseph; daughter, Jill Green Diedrich and husband Jeff, and son Jeffrey; brother, Joseph Wayne “J W” Green and wife Sandra; sister, Janice Green Mullins and husband Phil.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Green Jr., and Dutchie Green; sister, Ruby Green Jolissaint and husband Joseph Paul; and daughter-in-law, Roxanne May Green.
A ceremony celebrating the life of Rev. Green will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday March 7, 2022, at Healing Place Church Annex, visitation will begin at 10:00 am.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery.
