A ceremony celebrating the life of Rev. Paul T. Dickson Jr will be held on Thursday December 21, 2023, at First United Pentecostal Church, 1020 South Range Avenue, Denham Springs, visitation will begin at 4:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm. Private interment will be at Louisiana National Cemetery.
Bro. Paul was born on August 31, 1949, in Baton Rouge and departed from this life on Sunday December 17, 2023, after a brief illness at Ochsner Medical Center O'Neal Campus, Baton Rouge at the age of 74 years.
He served in the military as a medic in the Army. He then continued his career in the medical field as the head of the NICU dept. at Woman’s Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist until retiring after 25yrs of service.
He served as the pastoral assistant at the First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs as well as pastoring Amite Pentecostal Church until retiring in 2020.
Although he retired as pastor, he never quit ministering to those around him. He had a special way of connecting to people with a depth of knowledge, Godly wisdom, and passion, blended with a sense of humor and sarcasm that only he could get away with, and still make everyone feel like they were the center of his life. The legacy he leaves behind will forever be cherished by many.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Paul Sr., and Dorothy Dickson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marilee. Sons Cliff (wife Sharon) and Cory (wife Abby).
Grandchildren: Emily, Bryce, Clara, and bonus granddaughter, Ashlynn; along with great-grandson, Brent.
He is also survived by his sister, Marlene Montgomery (husband Dale). Nephews; Jason and Cody, Niece Kellie. Along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
