Richard Autin

Richard Autin, son of Rudolph and Mary Autin, loving husband of Artie “Chubby” Autin, passed away on March 12, 2023, at his home in Baton Rouge, LA, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife “Chubby” Artie Autin, two daughters Stepheny, Shelly, and a son in law, Mark Grimley. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Andrew Grimley, Kate Grimley, and Eli Gotte all living in the Houston area. Richard received his pharmacist degree in 1963. Richard had his own pharmacy in Iota, LA for 30 years. After moving to Baton Rouge, he worked at various locations. In 2017 Richard retired from Galvez Pharmacy in Prairieville. He had a passion for LSU football and basketball. He was known for his outstanding desserts, his gardening skills, his infectious smile, and his kind spirit. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, at St. Andrews Methodist Church in Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:30AM followed by service at 11AM.
