Richard Neil Bryan, Sr, born November 7, 1951, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, after a long bout with cancer. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Denham Springs. He retired after 26 years of service at PCS Nitrogen and owned 4H Equipment in Denham Springs with his wife for 30 years. Richard served our nation in the Army National Guard 1971 – 1977, leaving as Sargent E-5.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 43 years, Anita Williams Bryan; daughter, Katherine Amelia Bryan; stepchildren, Margaret Anita Elgin, William Gene Elgin, Jr (Sharon), and Brady Allen Elgin; brothers, Bobby Brent Bryan (Melessa) and David Brad Bryan (Melissa); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, David Monroe Bryan, Jr and Katherine Lucille McGehee Bryan; son, Richard Neil Bryan, Jr; fraternal grandparents, David Monroe Bryan, Sr and Ada Lou Frazier Bryan, and maternal grandparents Holt and Gladys McDaniel McGehee.
Visitation will be held at First Pentecostal Church in Denham Springs on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2pm followed by a service at 5pm. Brother Collin McClendon will officiate the service and Pastor Bobby Graham with Amite Pentecostal Church will give the eulogy. Meal and fellowship will follow at the church.
