Richard Roussel

Richard “Rick” Warren Roussel passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, March 25, 2022. He was born on July 15, 1961, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Rick was a certified pipe draftsman and an entrepreneur in sales. But his passion was his music. He was preceded in death by his father, Hunter Louis Roussel, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Joyce LaMarca Wehner, his sisters, Deborah R. Kent and husband Karl, Suzanne R. Berthelot and husband Brent, Alyson R. Swalley and husband Scott, Alice R. Harrigill and husband Robin, nine nieces and nephews, Hunter Berthelot, Hayden Berthelot, Breanna Berthelot, Savannah Swalley, Hailey Swalley, Scott Swalley, Dylan Harrigill, Drew Harrigill and Luke Harrigill.

Visitation with Rick’s family will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Independence, Louisiana on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.  Mass will follow at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., interment at the Colonial Cemetery.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in Rick’s honor to the American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
