Ricky Lee Marshall passed away on December 15, 2024. He was born on January 29, 1957, a resident of Central, a loving husband, dad, “Poppy”, and cherished friend who always had a smile on his face and provided us with more good times and laughter than one can imagine. He was employed by the BNC group for 33 years. He also worked as a videoboard crew member at LSU for 25 years. Ricky’s first love was his family but second was LSU sports.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rose M. Marshall, son Jason Marshall and Rachel Shaffer, son Jeremy Marshall and wife Brooke, six grandchildren, Jaise, Charlotte, Bean, Beau, Caroline and Braylen, siblings, Joe and wife Loretta, Toni, Jerry and wife Bernice, and Cindy, sisters-in-law, Vickie DeArmond (Bobby) and Anita Godwin (Robbie). Ricky is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by parents, Richard Lee Marshall and Josie Manno, and parents-in-law, R.B. and Marie Maranto.
Funeral services will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs LA 70739; on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 11:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Bordelon, Jeremy Ferachi, Anthony Gallo, Arthur Gibbs, Darren Legier and Carlin Silvio. Honorary pallbearers include Joe Jackson, John Schiebe, Lee Scioneaux, Vance Venable, Kevin Wagner, Jack Warren and LSU Broadcast Team.
The family wishes to thank the kind and caring staff of the second floor ICU unit at Ochsner Medical Center and the Central Fire Department.
