Ronald Joseph "Ropper" Templet Sr.

Ronald Joseph "Ropper" Templet Sr., passed away on February 20, 2025, in Gonzales, Louisiana at the age of 82.  Born on August 9, 1942, in Gonzales, he remained deeply connected to his community and family throughout his life. Ronald was a devoted husband to Joannette Templet and a loving father to Ronnie Templet Jr. and Racheal Templet. He was a proud grandfather to James Garett Templet, Billy Hebert, Katelynn Templet, Brady Templet, Llewellyn Templet, and Llemuel Templet. His siblings Monica Mendoza, Claudette Templet, and Joyce Templet shared in the strong family bonds he cherished. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sydney Joseph Templet and Vivian Gonon Templet; his sibling Ernest Templet and Bonnie Lamendola; and his child Janet Templet. A Marine Corps Reservist, Ronald served with dedication and carried the values of service and commitment throughout his life. His faith was an essential part of who he was; he attended both the Household of Faith and St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church. Ronald's presence brought warmth to those around him, and his kindness left a lasting impact on many lives. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on April 8, 2025, at Praise Church, located at 36452 C Braud Rd., Prairieville, Louisiana, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. May his soul find eternal peace in the presence of the Lord.
