Rosalie M Foster passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 73 on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, after an illness.
Rosalie was born on May 9, 1951, in Jacksonville, FL. Her family moved to San Antonio, TX where she resided until she met and married her husband Michael Foster and relocated to Greenwell Springs, LA . She was a resident of Walker, LA and adored her siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Rosalie was employed by McDonalds for 40+ years and was a familiar face at the McDonalds in Walker, LA.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Heidi McFarland, her parents Leo Jr. and Sara Meerscheidt, her siblings Leo Meerscheidt III and Mary Meerscheidt, and her nephew Troy Meerscheidt. Rosalie is survived by her husband, Michael Foster; son Chris Foster (Heidi); grandchildren Ali Moreau (Tristan), Chase Clough (Sydney), Kyle Drane, Kaitlyn Simms (Jack), Kendall Foster; great-grandchildren Rivers, Teddy, Kimmy and Jasper. She is also survived by siblings Kathleen Schock (Jim) and Rives Meerscheidt (Becca); Sister-in-Law Beverley Meerscheidt and by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Magnolia United Methodist Church in Greenwell Springs, LA on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 9:00am until 11:00am with memorial service to follow. Burial will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park in Denham Springs, LA.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the many doctors and nursing staff at OLOL and Baton Rouge General that took great care of Rosalie.
