Rosemary Labruzza Bravata Day

A native of Independence, Louisiana and a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana, she passed away peacefully at 2:00am on Saturday, October 6, 2018. She was 80 years old and a skilled worker and homemaker. She loved growing her vegetable garden; cooking her homemade breads, pastas, and desserts; and spending time with her family. Visitation is at St. John Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 9:00am until funeral mass at 11:00am. Interment to follow in Hope Haven Cemetery, Prairieville, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin M. (Mike) Day; her parents; two brothers; one sister; and her beloved dachshund, “Sweetie.” She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Bravata Gauthier and spouse Clinton, Cindy Bravata, Charlotte Bravata Balfour and spouse Thomas; and son Frank Bravata, Jr. and spouse Jeanne. Also survived by grandchildren, Antonette New and spouse Kelly, Christy Gauthier, and Anthony Gauthier; as well as three nieces and one nephew. She is also survived by all of her loving family at Ascension Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her daughters and son extend special thanks for the loving care of Ascension Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and The Hospice of Baton Rouge.
