On Thursday, November 26th, 2020, Sandi Whisenhunt, loving mother of two daughters, passed away at age 68. Sandi was born on July 8th, 1952 in Quincy, Illinois to Stanley and Margaret (Helms) Epker. On June 21st, 1969, she married Gerald (Jerry) Lee Whisenhunt and later divorced in 2000. They raised two daughters, Shelly and Tonya.
Sandi had a passion for people and giving. She also loved attending church at Family Worship Center, she combined these favorite things to make extraordinary friends. Her love of people & church was much admired not only by friends and family, but also by all who frequented the twice yearly Camp Meetings where her friendships were displayed. She was also an avid jewelry lover and a collector of unique antique pins. She was known for her warm personality, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit and her love for her daughters & granddaughters!
Sandi was preceded in death by her father, Stanley, and her mother, Margaret, her 2 sisters Dixie Hickman and Pam Elofson, 1 Brother-n-law Tony Hickman. She is survived by her brother Rodney Epker and wife Nancy, ex husband Gerald, her two daughters, Shelly, and Tonya, 1 son-n-law Mike, 3 grand daughters and 3 grand son-n-laws Sarah Beth and husband Ross Kibodeaux, Macy and husband William Lopez, Ashley and husband Peyton Alford, 3 great grand daughters, Gracelin, Kentli, and Wrenleigh, 3 great grand sons, Kohen, JohnWalker, and Briggston, Brother-n-law Doug Elofson, and several nieces & nephews.
