Scott Lee Gilbert

Scott Lee Gilbert, 47, of St. Amant, LA, passed away on March 21, 2021 at 3:00 AM. He was born September 20, 1973 in Mathews, LA and was a long time resident of Saint Amant, LA. He loved his family deeply, enjoyed fishing, sports, trucks, and politics. He was an avid fan of the St. Amant Gators and LSUTigers. Scott was especially devoted to his son, Austin Gilbert, and his granddaughter, Isabella Rose Gilbert. He was a truck driver for most of his adult life until he was forced to stop due to health issues.

Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanna Dantin Gilbert; his paternal grandparents, Robert Lee & Hilda Mae Gilbert; and maternal grandmother Marie Dantin.

He is survived by his son, Austin Joseph Gilbert, Kaitlyn Bowman, and granddaughter, Isabella Rose Gilbert; his father, Gary L. Gilbert; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert John & Rhonda Gilbert; nephews, Payton Bishop, Brock Gilbert, Camden Gilbert, and Micah Champagne; great-niece, OliviaBishop; niece, Aliyah Champagne; goddaughter, Theresa Michelle Langlois and great-nieces, Piper & Parker Langlois.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at My Church – the Rock Apostilic Ministries, Prairieville, LA 70769 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM. Services will be held on Friday from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM with service beginning at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at Galvez Pentacostal Church Cemetery in Gonzales, LA.
