Sheila Ann Williams

June 20, 1957 — October 29, 2024

Sheila Ann Williams, a remarkable entrepreneur who was truly passionate about the art of learning, left this world surrounded by her loving family on October 29, 2024, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born on June 20, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, Sheila brightened every room she entered.

An accomplished graduate of Loyola University, Sheila had degrees in business and mathematics, proudly boasting multiple certifications throughout her life. She cherished knowledge and dedicated herself to helping her children and grandchildren discover the joys of learning, providing them with the tools they needed to succeed.

Sheila wasn't just a business-savvy entrepreneur, she was a woman of many interests. She had a knack for strategic thinking while playing chess, a keen sense for winning games of cards, and an undeniable passion for basketball. More than anything, though, she loved spending time with her family, creating priceless memories that will be cherished forever.

Sheila is survived by her seven loving children: Marie Lemon, Sonya Dickerson, Terrol Lemon, Sarah Singleton, Tyrone Lemon Jr., Nicole Lemon Lomas, and Sheila Lemon. Sheila’s legacy continues through her 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will always remember her unwavering support and guidance. Sheila also leaves behind her brothers Frank Williams and Ibraheim Salaam "Robert" Williams, and her sister Hattie Washington. As well as her ex-husband Tyrone Lemon Sr. Family meant the world to her, and though it’s hard to imagine life without her, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she loved.

As we celebrate Sheila's life, we reflect on her proudest accomplishments, particularly her education—a testament to her determination and love for learning. Though her parents are no longer with us, their influence undoubtedly shaped the incredible person Sheila became.

Rest in peace, Sheila. You touched so many lives, and while you will be missed dearly, your legacy of love and knowledge will live on through your family.
