Shelby J. Murphy

A ceremony celebrating the life of Shelby J. Murphy will be held 11 am Monday at Faithful United Methodist Church; visitation will begin at 10 am. Shelby was born on February 9, 1938 in Wilson, NC and passed from this life on Friday May 31, 2019 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at the age of 81 years. She was a resident of Gonzales; she enjoyed painting, gardening and flowers. She is survived by her husband Ronald F. Murphy; children Richard Murphy, Debra Willis, Randall Murphy and Cheryl Silvis; siblings Bobby, Marie, Laura, Ann and Brenda; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews.
