Shelby Jean Goldsberry Lasure

Donaldsonville, LA

Shelby Jean Goldsberry Lasure, a native of Henderson, KY and resident of Donaldsonville, LA, passed away at her home on May 16, 2024 at the age of 83. Shelby loved spending time with her family as well as working with her flowers, walking around her subdivision for miles a day, and baking her famous chess cake every chance she could. 

She is survived by her children, Cindy Villemez and Roger Johnson; grandchildren, Carieme, Shelley, Travis, Savannah; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Shelby is preceded in death by her husband, Homer “Ted” Lasure; son, Randy Johnson; parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Goldsberry; siblings, Larry, Bill, Diane, and Tommy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Redemption Church (42080 Churchpoint Rd, Gonzales, LA 70737) from 10am until service time at 12pm.   Burial will follow at Hope Haven Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales.
