Shelly Nicole Templet

Shelly Nicole Templet, a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Houma, LA, died Friday, July 29, 2022 at the age of 40.  She was the beloved daughter of Bonnie Babin Melancon and stepdaughter of Greg Melancon; stepdaughter of Arlette B. Templet; sister of Jeremy Templet (Dana Pruitt, fiancée), Quincy Templet (Cristy), and Kara Leigh Templet; stepsister of A.J. Hull, Jr., Cory Melancon (Amanda), Shane Melancon (Brooke), Marcie Boudreaux (Brandon), Jennifer Gothard (Roger), Shawna Melancon (Brandon) and Heidi Melancon.  She is also survived by her caregiving Mom of 34 years, Cathy Yopp and her extended family, brothers David Trahan and Trent Yopp, sisters Kayla Trahan and Renee Trahan; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Holy Rosary Cemetery Mausoleum on Tuesday, August 9th beginning at 9 am.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Templet; grandparents, Steve and Della Babin, Louis and Vernell Templet, Peter and Ethel Bourgeois; and Cathy’s parents, Donald Yopp and Barbara Shannon.
