Susan Book Fairbanks

On November 1, 2022, Susan Book Fairbanks passed away peacefully at age 62 after a brief illness. Susan was married to the love of her life, Clay Fairbanks, for 37 years. She was an amazing mother to her three daughters.  However, many people considered Susan their surrogate mother.

Susan was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother. She cared deeply for her family and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help. She always ensured that every person who crossed her path felt loved, accepted, and happy. Susan felt like home.

Susan is survived by her husband, Clay Fairbanks, daughter Lindsey Stewart (Brandon), daughter Lana Beyt (Jeremy), daughter Leslie Fairbanks and four precious grandchildren Braxton & Kyley Stewart, Banks & Sullivan Beyt, her brother Nelson Book Jr. (Becky), Lisa Book Guillot (Randy), sister Sandra Book and a host of nieces and nephews whom she adored.  She was preceded in death by her parents Nelson Book & Zola LaPrairie Book, her sisters Nell Book Johns, Robbie Book Wiley, and brothers Darwin Book, Melvin Book, and Randy Book.

A ceremony celebrating Susan’s life will be held on Friday November 4, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Acacia Church, visitation will begin at 10:00 am until time of the service. Acacia Church, 10051 Siegen Lane, Baton Rouge.
