Thomas Carroll Wood, a devoted husband, father, and Pop Pop, was born on March 31, 1945, in Waynesboro, VA, and died on May 24, 2024, in Baton Rouge, LA. He served our country in the United States Army as a Sergent in Military Police Operations and was a Vietnam Veteran. Tom dedicated his career to Dupont as a well-known and successful Regional Executive Account Manager in the Suva and Freon Division. He received many prestigious professional awards, including two (2) Corporate Marketing Executive Awards, and Salesman of the Year. Tom enjoyed all aspects of life, traveling, entertaining and most of all people. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Albert Wood and Hazel I. & Charles F. Kelley, his wife, Nancy Mino Wood, and his son, Michael Wood. Tom is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Denise Wood, granddaughters, Bailey and Katelyn Wood, brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Barbara Wood, and several nieces and nephews. Special acknowledgement to the many lives he touched – to all the friends of Brian and Mike’s over the years, he loved you as his own and talked about all of you often. Thank you for loving him as much as he loved you! Visitation will be Thursday, May 30, 2024, at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, 16266 S. Harrells Ferry Road, Baton Rouge at 10:00 a.m., with Mass following at 11:00 a.m.  Cremation to follow. Pallbearers will be Tom Hightower, Matt Buchert, Ryan Crane, Tim Richard, David Tuschoff, Zane Wood, Jason St. Romain, and Chuck Kaiser. In lieu of flowers, donations to 22Kill, One Tribe Foundation are appreciated.
