Timothy E. Creed Sr.

Timothy Creed, born on January 23, 1947, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024. He lived a life full of dedication and faith, retiring from Local 198 after many years of hard work. Timothy was a proud member of the first state champion basketball team of Pitkin High, where his love for the game grew. Timothy was known for his strong faith as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

Beyond his career and athletic achievements, Timothy found joy in gardening and growing vegetables, often spending cherished moments on his tractor. His passion for basketball remained a big part of his life, and he enjoyed sharing this love with his family especially with his grandchildren. He loved traveling and taking road trips.  

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn Lange Creed, and their children: Timothy E. Creed Jr. (Tonya), Trudie Creed (Wade Graham), and Talanda Creed Witzel (Mark). As well as what was affectionately known as his bonus children, Mike Jarreau and Paul Valley. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Hallie Creed, Caleb Creed, Kendall Creed, Alexander Creed, Sawyer Creed, and Emmerson Heart Creed. Timothy also cherished his sisters-in-law, Mildred Creed and Pauline Creed, along with his nephews, David Creed and Brian Creed. He also cared deeply for his dog, Peanut "Bubbles."

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. John B and Gertrude Longbone Creed, and siblings: Lawrence Creed, Albert Creed, Joe Creed, Yleta Creed, Wesley Creed, Mary Elizabeth Creed, Perry Creed, Paul Creed, Jehu "Dale" Creed, Gary Creed, and Baby Creed.

Timothy Creed will be remembered for his unwavering faith, love for his family, and a life lived with purpose.
