Wallace J. Braud Jr.

Wallace J. Braud Jr., a native of Duplessis, LA and resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away in Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 80. Wallace was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed spending time at his camp in Mississippi, cooking jambalaya, and running D-Bro Sno snowball stand with his wife. He was also a proud member of the Red Stick Model A Club. Wallace is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Debra Braud; sons, Michael Braud, Daren Braud (Gina), Damon Braud (Abby); grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Derek Jr., Max, Reid, Maci, Owen, Mason, Collin, Josie; great grandchild, Henry. He is preceded in death by his son, Derek Sr.; parents, Wallace Sr. and Mallie Braud; sister, Diane Kyes. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. John the evangelist Catholic Church of Prairieville from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Entombment will follow at Hope Haven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Prairieville. Honorary pallbearers will be Doby Dixon, Carey “Hoss” Arceneaux, Frank King, Bob Duhon, and Curtis Rouyea.
