St. Amant

Warren Huff, 82, passed away on December 31, 2024, in Baton Rouge after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Dolores, his loving wife, and family were by his side.

A native of Confluence, Kentucky and later resident of Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania, Warren's life focused on family and friends. After graduating from Lakeview High School, Warren served in the Navy from 1959 until 1963. While stationed in Pensacola, Florida he met and married his first love, Virginia Bass Huff. Warren and Virginia later moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where they lived and raised four children, Johnny, Tina, Debbie, and Renee. He worked at Honeywell Geismar Complex (formerly AlliedSignal) for 31 years before retiring in 1998. Warren and Virginia shared 27 wonderful years together before Virginia passed away in 1990.

Warren then moved to Maurepas, Louisiana where he lived on the Diversion Canal. In 1991 Warren married Dolores Riddle and was stepfather to Jason and Chris Riddle. Warren and Dolores shared 33 beautiful years of marriage. Following his retirement from Honeywell, Warren performed consulting work for Cox-Walker and Associates and was instrumental in advising in the clean-up of hazardous chemicals from abandoned manufacturing facilities and in developing decommissioning procedures for hazardous chemical storage tanks.

Warren enjoyed living on the river, growing vegetables in his garden, and watching old western television shows. He always had fresh tomatoes, green onions, and satsumas to share with family and friends. He led a peaceful and quiet life watching the rolling river and its wildlife.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Huff and Delphia Duff Huff; his sister, Johnnie Huff; the mother of his children, Virginia Bass Huff; his son, Johnny Huff; and his granddaughter, Cindy Revelle. Warren is survived by his wife, Dolores Huff; his children and daughter-in-law, Karen Huff, Tina Cantillo (Rocky), Debbie McClure (Brent), Renee Thibodeaux, Jason Riddle, and Chris Riddle (Anna); his grandchildren, Carissa Reed (Jeremy), Chrissy Spearman (Eric), Holly Maggio (Kurt), Colleen Brouillette (D.J. Norred), Leigh Oncale (Toby), Ashley Faucheaux (Lance), Chandler McClure (Courtlyn), Markus Revelle (Jessalyn), Kristian Vandever (Michael), Kristofer Riddle, and Katya Riddle; his great grandchildren, Haylee Shepherd (Dylan Haltom), Tyce Spearman, Landry Maggio, Jayla Oncale, Bowen Oncale, Charli Faucheaux, Alyssa Revelle, Colt Revelle, Emilia Vandever, and Isabella Vandever, and his great-great grandson Preston.

The family would like to give special thanks to the many family members and friends whose visits and prayers supported Warren throughout his illness. They would also like to thank the staff of the Baton Rouge General Hospital for their care and compassion. A memorial service and celebration of Warren’s life will be held at Glory Baptist Church in Livingston on a date to be determined.
