William A. "Tony" Cliburn

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mount Olive, Mississippi for William A. "Tony" Cliburn who passed away on Sunday, July 07, 2024 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

 Brother Josh Hollingsworth will officiate at the service. Music will be provided by B.J. Shoemaker. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mount Olive, Mississippi will be in charge of the arrangements.

 Tony was born at Eglin AFB in Florida to William S. Cliburn and Linda Mae Joseph. He worked for twenty-five years for Saint James Steve Doring Company as a river barge supervisor where he received many work related awards. Tony was a great fan of the New Orleans Saints football team. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him and he will be dearly missed.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, William S. Cliburn and Linda Mae Joseph Cliburn.

 Tony was survived by his wife, Becky Acosta Cliburn of Prairieville, Louisiana and two sons, Michael Cliburn (Jaci) and Matthew Cliburn, one brother Donald Cliburn, and one sister Rene Shoemaker (Bruce), four grandchildren, Aaron Cliburn, Cassie Cliburn, Braden Cliburn, and Rylie Cliburn.
