A Celebration of Life for William Robert “Bobby” Ford will be held at 12 noon Saturday February 15, 2020 at Carpenter’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 41181 LA Highway 933 Prairieville, LA. Visitation will begin at 11 am. He was born on September 22, 1951 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 9. Born in Mobile, Alabama, Bobby was a resident of Baton Rouge and Gonzales for over forty years. He was a Vietnam Veteran with the United States Army and was a former employee of Olin Chemical Company. Bobby was his grandchildren’s biggest fan and was a mentor to many through youth ministry, coaching baseball and softball. He was secure in his faith and dearly loved his family. Bobby had a passion to fix, repair or build anything for free or the high labor rate of a twelve pack of Corona! He is preceded in death by his parents James and Irma Ford and brother Larry Ford. Survivors include his wife of 46 years Kathryn Ford; son Andy Ford and wife Kasey; daughter Katie Ford; grandchildren Wyatt and Julia Ford; special loved ones Nick Suggs and daughter Kate; also survived by six nieces and one nephew.
